Washing:
• Solar Panels must be cleaned periodically by soft water and mild soap
• Frequency of the cleaning should depend upon the soiling loses due to dust, bird droppings and other factors such as processes in factories.
• Before cleaning, make sure the inverter is switched off or DC isolator is in off position.
• Never walk on the panels, walking creates safety hazards and will damage your solar panels.
• Pressure washing is not recommended as panels are not tested on high pressures.
• Always wash panels in early morning or late evenings.
Other Maintenance:
• Make Sure to immediately replace the panels which have become faulty such as due to physical harm or bullet hit etc. as it will degrade the performance of remaining panels.
• Always check for the tightness of the panels with the structure and replace the nut and bolts if required.
• Inspect the structure, any wear & tear & excessive vibrations must be corrected.
• Periodically inspect the insulation of the DC cables , as exposure to the sun may damage the insulations on the cables.
